"Last week, an historic moment for the ESL Program at Tredyffrin Public Library was celebrated with an international pot-luck dinner! The first ever Certificate of Achievement was awarded to the student who demonstrated excellence in the skills which underlie the goal of the program – “Understanding through clear communication.”

Participation in the ESL conversation classes have increased substantially at the library with adults who reside in the area and are originally from different countries, such as South Korea, India, France, China, Equator, Columbia, Poland, Russia, Algeria and many other nations. The conversation classes are designed to encourage spontaneous conversations in American English, highlighting the various cultures, with emphasis on our many similarities, humor, traditions, and hopes."
